No setup or monthly fees. Payment processing fees apply.

From design to donations

Your part

Create & customize

Their branding. Their giving options. A form ready for their website.

Send a secure invitation

Your client’s part

Connect their Stripe account

They sign in to Stripe themselves. You’re notified when the connection is ready.

No shared Stripe passwords.

Built for client work

A repeatable setup for your next nonprofit website.

Whether you’re shipping your first client site or supporting several organizations, the workflow stays familiar.

A form that fits the website

Customize the donation form, then display it inline or open it from a Donate button. Keep the nonprofit’s story and giving experience together.

Your client owns their Stripe

Clients connect Stripe themselves. You never need their Stripe password, and their donations go through their own account.

One account, separate clients

Switch between client workspaces from your account. Each organization has its own forms, donor records, and payment connection.

The client workflow

Start with the design. Bring your client in when it’s time.

  1. 1

    Create a client workspace

Choose “A client” during signup. Already have an account? Use “Add client organization” in the workspace menu.

  2. 2

    Make the form their own

Set the colors, suggested amounts, and giving options. You can design the form before Stripe is connected.

  3. 3

    Invite your client

Send a Stripe setup invitation from the launch checklist or payment settings. Your client signs in and connects their own account.

  4. 4

Embed and check the live page

Copy the code from “Add to website.” Publish the site, check payment readiness, and verify the donor experience before launch.

Your client receives Admin access to their organization. You keep your access to finish setup and support them afterward.

Fits your stack

Add donations to the site you already build.

Use the WordPress plugin or copy the generated code into a site that supports custom embeds. Setup instructions live alongside each form.

Check the website plan’s script permissions. For Wix and Framer page embeds, choose an inline form; use site-wide code for a floating Donate button.

Give clients the everyday essentials.

  • One-time gifts and monthly giving with Stripe
  • Branded donation forms and campaign pages
  • Donation receipts and donor records
  • Form updates from the KindLumen dashboard

A good fit for website giving. If the project needs auctions, event ticketing, peer-to-peer fundraising, or a full fundraising CRM, assess those requirements separately.

Questions from agencies & developers.

Can I use KindLumen as a freelance developer?

Yes. KindLumen works for independent web developers, designers, and agencies building nonprofit websites. Choose “A client” during setup, or add a client organization from the workspace menu if you already have an Admin account.

Can I build the form before my client connects Stripe?

Yes. You can create the client workspace and customize the donation form first. Invite the client when they are ready. Stripe must be verified and able to accept payments before Stripe donations can go live.

What access does the client invitation grant?

The invitation gives the client Admin access to their organization and guides them to Stripe setup. It expires after seven days and can be revoked. The client must sign in with the invited email. You retain your Admin access.

How do I know when my client is ready?

KindLumen sends you an in-app notification and an email when the client’s live Stripe connection is verified and can accept charges and payouts. You can then return to that workspace to finish launch checks.

What does KindLumen cost my client?

KindLumen charges organizations no subscription fees, setup fees, or platform fees. If a donor does not cover transaction costs, the selected payment provider’s processing fees are deducted from the donation. KindLumen still charges the organization nothing. When a donor chooses transaction-cost coverage on Stripe, the added amount includes the configured processing estimate and a disclosed 1% contribution to KindLumen.

Which websites can I embed it on?

Use the WordPress plugin or the generated embed code on sites that allow the required custom HTML and scripts. KindLumen includes setup instructions for WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, Wix, Framer, and custom sites. Builder plans and security settings vary. Wix and Framer page embeds are framed, so use an inline form there or site-wide code for a floating button.

Does this replace a fundraising CRM?

KindLumen is focused on branded website donation forms, monthly giving with Stripe, campaigns, receipts, and donor records. If a project depends on a full fundraising CRM, event ticketing, auctions, or peer-to-peer fundraising, evaluate those requirements separately before choosing the donation setup.
